Food Hygiene Ratings in FY2

The FY2 postcode area has 118 registered food businesses with an average food hygiene rating of 4.6 out of 5. 92% of food businesses in FY2 hold a rating of Good (4) or Very Good (5), and 20 hold the top rating of 5 (Very Good). FY2 is one of the higher-rated postcode areas for food hygiene in the UK, with the majority of businesses meeting or exceeding the expected standards. Food hygiene ratings are awarded by the local authority based on inspections carried out by environmental health officers. The rating reflects standards of food handling, the condition of the premises, and how well food safety is managed at the time of the inspection. Ratings range from 0 (Urgent Improvement Necessary) to 5 (Very Good). Businesses can request a re-inspection if they believe their standards have improved since the last visit.
